As you may have read in the yearbook there are a few teachers that are retiring this year, so I decided to write a final goodbye to the following teachers… Diana Marshall who is a guidance secretary, Bob Dunahue who is a communications arts teacher, Vince Nowack who is a world history teacher, Kathy Green who is a communication arts teacher also, Mike Hrdlicka who is a math teacher, Sue Bohnenn who is a business teacher, Patti Rogers who is a custodian, and Jay Hicks who is a communication arts teacher also. Just wanted those teachers to know that the students here have appreciated all you have done for us.

worried about their grades dropping from taking those awful things,
some just want to get it done and over with. As the end of the year
approaches the level of caring drops drastically this is because
students are just so ready for summer to finally be here. How did you

Ok so there are a lot of bands out there but who is the best? We think Beatles, The Eagles, Metallica, Pantera, The Who the list is never ending so who do you think is the best? I think that the ones that stick out are the Beatles, The Eagles, The Beach Boys, Chicago, Dave Matthews Band, Bruce Springsteen. Who do you think is great?

Well the ending of the season 7 American idol was last night and the two David's did a great and wonderful job performing on Tuesday and Wednesday night, but one had to come out on top and the David who did that was Missouri's very own
DAVID COOK!!!!!!
Yep that right he won the whole thing! We have another rocker out there!
The idols will be in St Louis on July 18 to perform.

Ok so the cards are one game out of first place. There record stands at: 28-21 and Chicago's Record stands at: 28-19. The last game was against the Padres and they won 11-3 so yhea the Cards have stopped losing and started up again! Heres hoping that cards take first place and regain the lead! GO CARDS!

So there are three drinks that are big time contenders that is Sprite 7up and Serria Mist. They all taste just about the same but some people only want Sprite or only want 7up some people prefer Serria Mist. So why do people only prefer one over the other? Well I can't tell you that cause I don't know. what I can tell you is that you guys do so why do you people like only sprite or only like 7up or only like Serria Mist? I would love to know why!

Halo, it's name alone brings up thoughts of fire fights, amazing shots, and the occasional argument with the under age player over the Internet. Halo is an amazing combination of great characters and amazing game play. The story mode gives you a first hand experience on how to play, but the real fun is when you start playing online. There are tons of game types and levels that seem to never get old. Halo has to be one of the most popular games in the world today, which gives people the unique opportunity to meet new people from different places and make friends over the Internet. Over all Halo is my favorite game and I don't think I will ever get tired of it.

Ok so there are alot of teams out there in the wide world of college football, but some have the stupidest names ever. So who really has the worst? Well first off there Virgina Tech Hokies, oh and the Alabama Crimson Tide and then there mascot is the Elephant what? Syracuse Orange men, The North Carolinia Tar Heels. Iowa State Cyclones then there mascot is a bird what? Stanford Cardinal not even the Cardinals the Cardinal. I mean come on the list goes on and on. So who do you think is the worst?

Well, only 7 days left of school and while yes it does mean freedom, it also means dun dun dun FINALS!!!! It's always the most stressful time of the year. All the teachers are passing out those awesome final reviews and just giving us busy work. We all look forward to the end of the year until it actually hits and we have to prepare for those "awesome" finals. Other then reviews what else are you guys doing to get ready for the finals? I have tried studying before but sometimes i tend to just forget it all when the test is in front of me. Well how "excited" is everyone for finals? Are you more worried about doing bad or excited about it getting it over with?

So what is the best candy? Is it chocolate like Snickers, Almond Joys, hersheys, M&M's. Or is it taffy like Wonka taffy or salt water taffy? What about skittles or runts jaw breakers? So which deserves to be the best and why does it deserve to be the best? I think almond joys are the best in the whole world I could eat them till I get sick! So what do you think?

Last Friday was the K.O.E. Picnic were students with good grades and good attendance go out on the track/ football field for food, games and prizes. It lasted 6th and 7th hour. I went to this picnic and had a good time. The weather was gloomy and cold, it had a light drizzle here and there otherwise there was no rain during the time students were out. There was question if the picnic would go on. Weather throughout the school day before 6th hour was raining cats and dogs. But we got lucky and the show went on. Did you go to the K.O.E. Picnic? Did you enjoy it?

So today was Senior Day, the day the seniors at FHN got to leave campus early today. I believe they left around 10:30. I heard some people saying it wasn't fair. But honestly i think it was definitely fair because they have put in their 4 years who cares if they get to get out early for one day? I think after all the seniors have gone at FHN the least they deserve is getting to leave the school early. What do the rest of you guys think about Senior Day? Let me know.

The Weather Shakes Up The Earth! By Ben

St. Louis Missouri is not the only place that is getting bombarded with heavy thunder storms, lightning and bad weather. China was hit with a earthquake on the richter scale 7.9 killing more than 18,000 people and still going up. 900 students were swallowed up by the earth while in school. There have been 30 after shocks all of which were 4.0 on the richter scale. Back to the USA Oklahoma was hit with a handful of Tornados that ranged from EF 3 to EF 4 ( the highest it can be is EF 5) The death tool for that is 19 and still going up. Now Missouri has gotten so much rain that we are 10 inches above average. This has been a wierd year for weather. I was in Florida and it got down to 30 degrees the coldest it's been in a hundred years. Some blame global warming. Usually the STUCO elections are a huge deal. Posters and flyers cover the hallways and opponents are fighting for votes to earn their spot. This year was pretty different though because all of the runners were unopposed andreceived their spots automatically. Student Council leaders did an amazing job with everything this year so I can't wait to see what these guys have in store for us for next year!

The new Indiana Jones movie is premiering in theaters May 22nd. I don't know what to make of this release. I think that Indiana Jones has been so overused and too many movies have been made for this character. But I saw the trailer for this movie and I might just see it. WHAT?! Did you hear? The shave off between Mr. Little and Charlie has finally ended!!!! Mr. Little takes the win. Charlie actually caved. So all those who doubted Mr. Little, owe him an apologie h aha. We asked Charlie what made him give in and he says it was for a job interview. So now Charlie has to buy his class pizza! Well maybe you all can start a fun competition with on of your teachers. Let me know how you guys feel about the results.

How The Mizzou and KU Rivalry Came To Be! By Ben

So every sports Rivalry has it's history and how it all began. For Missouri and Kansas it all began in the Civil War Era. With Missouri being a slave state and Kansas being a free state it caused problems big problems. See there was a so called path that ran through Missouri that slaves could go on that would take them to Kansas. So thus starting the Border War, Jayhawkers people who worked in the mines and stuff who chanted ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK while they worked would threaten Missourians if they touched a slave they would be killed. This caused a lot of problems, so eventually Slavery was abolished but there still was the tension between the Kansas people and the Missouri people. So all you Mizzou fans when you say KU sucks do you really mean it? I mean isn't like 3/4 of the Mizzou football team black, wasn't it the Jayhawkers who fought for the black rights? Think about it. It's the month of May and only 19 days left of school! Many are going on vacation with family, go to camps, or work full time at work. Band season starts in July and other sports begin practice over the summer also. I know I can't wait for the summer, and I'm also sad that the seniors this year are leaving. It's a time to grow and gain new experiences if your a senior, a student moving up a grade or the new freshmen coming in. Lets all enjoy the time we have this year and don't forget any of it. How do you plan to celebrate the end of the year and have a good summer?

Every year the TASC members put on an assembly for the junior and senior classes the Friday before prom it is to educate the students on the results of drinking and driving. This year I think is by far the best it started out with us in the gym with a speaker who was amazing I think that he got the message though to the kids then we went outside for a mock accident, which I though was amazing. My favorite part I would have to say was the helicopter landing on the school ground. I mean I saw it flying but I never actually though it would land. I hope next years it as cool as this year I really think they got the message though. What was your favorite part? What did you think of it? Do you think it got the message to the students?
